Relational Mechanics

A Pre-Geometric Theory for the Emergence of Spacetime and Physical Law

A Research Programme

Modern physics rests on two remarkably successful theories: quantum mechanics and general relativity. Despite their empirical achievements, both leave fundamental questions unresolved concerning the ontological status of spacetime, the origin of quantum phenomena, and the relationship between geometry and information. These difficulties suggest that contemporary physics may begin one step too late. The present work explores the hypothesis that the basic constituents of reality are not particles, fields, or spacetime itself, but relations. It proposes a pre-geometric relational domain, denoted Ω, from which the structures of observable physics emerge through successive levels of coarse-graining and projection.

Within this framework, termed Relational Mechanics, both quantum mechanics and general relativity appear as limiting regimes of a deeper relational structure - rather than as independent fundamental theories.

Relational Economics

Topology of Economic Relations instead of a Communism-Capitalism divide

Most monetary reform proposals ask: "What should money be?" Relational Economics asks "What is the optimal topology of economic relations?" In Relational Economics, the monetary system is an emergent phenomenon from the topology of the economic network. It serves to minimize the unnecessary separation between individuals, productive enterprises, and society as a whole, through the optimization of their relational network.

A working prototype of the software for a relational organization is located on www.bartex.org. The launch in the real economy has faced stiff resistance from established banking interests.

Relational Democracy

Direct Access to the Whole

Democracy should not be understood primarily as the periodic selection of rulers. It should be understood as the political network through which every citizen remains continuously related to the collective agency of society.
